To assist you with coming to terms with craps rules we will take you through the fundamentals of craps casino betting in stages and this should help you with getting the hang of this unique casino game. Playing Craps:
Step 1 - The craps rules are firstly that you play with two dice on a craps table because craps is a table game. The craps dice are rolled and the score is the sum of the two dice. Now that's craps made simple, now comes the difficult bit when trying to understand how craps shooting is made into craps betting.
Step 2 - The second thing to understand is the scoring system, when you throw the dice this is called the shooting. When the dice lands you count up the total of the two dice and there are two main outcomes, those that result in 2, 3, 7, 11 and 12 and then there is the outcome which is between 4 - 10.
Step 3 - The next thing to have an understanding of is when considering Craps rules is that there are also two types of rolls which can be either hard or hard or soft. The hard roll is when the two dice end up being the same, all other rolls are soft. For instance, when craps dice finishes up 3 and 3, it's a hard roll, and when it's 6 and 2, it's a soft roll.
Step 4 - The next thing to get into your head regarding the craps rules is the pass line and the don't pass line. Only one of these is ever a winner. Therefore this will be an even bet, much like red and black in roulette betting.
Step 5 - Now you can get the game underway and craps betting can commence. You can only bet on pass/don't pass bets at this point. The craps player then shoots the first roll, which is called the "comeout". If the "special" numbers - 2, 3, 7, 11 or 12 - are rolled out, one of the simple bets wins. When a craps bet wins, the round is considered over.
Step 6 - Should the dice roll result in a - one of 4 to 10 - called a place roll, a special marker with "ON" written on it is placed next to the number of the outcome on the craps betting table. This is called the "point".
Step 7 - This is when the real fun starts as at this point, the craps player can bet again, called "free odds". Free odds bets can only extend previous pass/don't pass bets.
Step 8 - Then the final stage of the craps game is about to begin called "hitting the point". The player will be throwing dice until the point score is achieved again or seven. The winner is either of these outcomes, should the thrower roll seven, the don't pass line bet wins; if the shooter rolls the point instead, the pass line bet wins, the shooter keeps shooting until either of these outcomes is achieved. The players make craps bets between the throws.
